Opsite Flexifix 10cm x 1m
Step 1: Wash your hands before and after dealing with a wound. Gently clean the wound and surrounding skin, and dry thoroughly. Step 2: Cut the required length from the roll. Fold along the length of the film to crack the protective backing paper. Step 3: Remove the backing paper marked number 1 - 'remove first’. Apply the sticky side to desired area and gently smooth down. Step 4: Remove the green-coloured grid covering and gently smooth down again. To remove, pull the film to gently stretch it parallel to the skin and lift off.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, talk to your healthcare professional. OPSITE FLEXIFIX may be used on clinically infected wounds if the following precautions are followed: It should be completed under medical supervision. The dressing should be changed daily. An individual should be receiving suitable systemic treatment. Immuno-compromised patients and diabetic patients may require extra supervision. Care should be taken to avoid skin damage by repeated applications on those with sensitive and fragile skin. In common with all adhesive products, some cases of irritation and/or maceration of the skin surrounding the wound have been reported. It should be noted that inappropriate use or too frequent dressing changes, particularly in those with fragile skin , can result in skin stripping.
