The Medescan Multifunction Thermometer allows for non-intrusive checking of your baby's temperature while they sleep, providing quick, accurate readings. This versatile device can measure body, food, or bath water temperatures, making it a must-have for parents.
The large, backlit display makes it easy to read even in low light conditions, and the thermometer will automatically shut off when not in use to conserve battery power.
Non-Invasive: Allows for touchless temperature taking, ideal for sleeping babies or restless children.
Versatility: Measures temperature for individuals and objects like food or bath water.
1. Turn the device on by selecting the Mode/Memory Button (small button below the LED screen).
2. Choose the mode: Child forehead (aged below 12 years old), Adult, Ear, Object.
3. Press and release the Measure button (large button) to read your temperature value.
4. Read the temperature from the display.
For detailed instructions for each mode, please refer to this guide.
To easily switch between Adult/Baby/Room or Object temperature, simply press the mode button. The highlighted image on the top of the screen will show you which mode you are currently in. To change the mode for the ear, simply remove the ear probe cover piece.
The Multifunction Thermometer is designed to be more practical with a reusable ear probe that can be wiped down with a clean dry cloth after each use.
For the most accurate temperature reading, ensure your thermometer's lens is clean. You can clean it with a dry cotton swab. For babies, who have smaller veins, calculate their temperature three times and the highest temperature recorded will be the most accurate. You can use the same method to record temperature three times from each side of the ears.
To easily switch between Fahrenheit and Celcius, open the battery cover and use the toggle switch.
There are a few reasons why your thermometer might be reading a lower temperature. Make sure you are in the correct mode and not using the room/object temperature when trying to record your body temperature. If you are in the correct mode but still receiving an odd temperature, ensure hair, sweat, or heavy makeup is not interfering.
A HI error normally occurs when the sensors need to be cleaned or batteries are low. To fix this, clean the sensors with a dry cotton swab and replace the batteries if they are old.
